Jenks Chamber hosts Groundbreaking for New Pickleball Complex

JENKS, Okla. (KTUL) — In the world of sports, it’s the hottest thing since sliced bread, make that sliced pickles. It’s a sport with a name that sounds like something fermenting in a jar on a deli counter, pickleball.

“Somewhere between ping pong and tennis,” said Dr. Angelo Cuzalina.

Cuzalina was so taken by it that he and his partners aptly named the company In a Pickle and is investing upwards of $14 million to create a pickleball entertainment complex.

“It’s also got an outside stage for outdoor entertainment, fire pits, two restaurants, one of them will be In the Raw, and another one called In the Kitchen, which is a sports bar, and then we have a medical spa, which I started, another company called Bahama Bucks, snow cones, then outdoor bars as well,” Cuzalina said.
