36 Degrees North- City Hall

TULSA, OK
The One Technology Center, constructed in 2001, houses the City of Tulsa operations as well as some private businesses. The 5th floor of the building was transformed into a flexible workspace for local Tech start-ups, mentors, and funding partners. The concept stems from the original Lilly Architects-designed flex-workspace dedicated to entrepreneurs in the Universal Ford Building.
As Oklahoma’s first entrepreneurial hub that offers flexible workspace, community resources, and startup programs for entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey, 36 Degrees North has activated one of Tulsa’s oldest neighborhoods by attracting young talent to the district. Flexibility is the key to meeting the needs of this dynamic group of professionals. The design focuses on flexible, multi-purpose spaces where this community can gather to enjoy a range of activities from casual gatherings, dedicated work stations, to full scale event productions. Communities from across the nation look to 36 Degrees North as a premier case study for its use of space.
