News On 6 highlights a major restoration effort bringing new life to one of Tulsa’s historic buildings.

The George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF) has launched an ambitious $30 million project to restore the Archer Building, a 72,000-square-foot warehouse in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District. Covered by News On 6, this revitalization project aims to transform the nearly century-old space into a vibrant center for artists, businesses, and the community.

Lilly Architects is proud to be involved in preserving the building’s architectural integrity while adapting it for contemporary use. Our approach prioritizes historical elements such as original tin tiles and warehouse doors, seamlessly integrating them into a modern, functional design. The project will introduce 35 artist studios and 14 apartments for Tulsa Artist Fellowship members, alongside commercial spaces that will house Magic City Books, Holy Mountain Records, and Glacier Chocolates’ new educational venture, City of Chocolate.
