A Dynamic Space for Learning and Innovation

Nestled on the ground floor of a prominent office building in the heart of the Tulsa Arts District, the Thunder Fellows Program headquarters serves as a beacon for opportunity and creativity. Designed to reflect the program’s mission of fostering talent in sports, technology, and entertainment, the space offers a harmonious blend of functionality, branding, and industrial character.

Multipurpose Design for Versatility

At the heart of the design is a large Main Learning, Hangout, and Lab area that adapts seamlessly to the program’s diverse needs. The space is tailored for workshops, collaborative projects, and individual study, maximizing its utility with thoughtful acoustic treatments and ceiling clouds to enhance sound quality in group settings. The design team prioritized flexibility to ensure the space remains a valuable resource for every student activity.

Branding Through Architecture

To reinforce the Thunder Fellows identity, the design team collaborated closely with the owner’s graphic design team. Bold branding overlays are strategically integrated throughout the space, complemented by architectural elements in the program’s signature colors. The reception area, illuminated by accent lighting, serves as a welcoming and impactful introduction to the program’s mission and vision.

Industrial Character with Warmth

The space celebrates its industrial shell with exposed concrete columns and an open ceiling concept, while carefully chosen wood tones add warmth and balance to the environment. Lighting fixtures were selected to enhance the raw textures of the architecture, creating a modern yet inviting aesthetic that resonates with the creative energy of the Arts District.

Thoughtful Amenities for Connection and Comfort

The facility also includes private phone booths, three offices, a large conference room, and kitchenettes to support students and staff. These spaces are designed with clean, functional lines, ensuring comfort while maintaining the overall aesthetic. The result is an environment that inspires collaboration, focus, and innovation.

A Space That Inspires

The Thunder Fellows Program headquarters not only embodies the mission of bridging opportunity gaps but also reflects the vibrancy and resilience of Tulsa’s Greenwood District. By merging bold branding, versatile design, and industrial elegance, the space stands as a testament to the transformative power of education and community empowerment.
